Ram Air 2 Hood

I am thinking of getting the Ram Air 2 Hood and want to cut out the "Nostrils" and cowl and make it a functional ram air hood. My car is a daily driver, now what will stop rain, snow, leaves, raod dirt, etc. from coming strait into my motor compartment thru the "Nostrils" of that hood?
What about the back were the cowl is?

Glue in some screen, to keep out the big stuff.
