Hood looks great but get rid of the chrome vents on the cowl. Just my opinion.

 

Agreed, chrome trim doesn't go too well with 3rd gen's...GM had gone to blacked-out trim on all upper level F-Bodies by the late 70s. That being said, it would probably look fine painted black.

I thought the vents added some more look to it like the California Cowl Hood. A one of a kind hood. No prob seeing over the hood. Like the looks of it. Cheers Bro...

 

i agree with getting rid of the chrome . hoods looks great just paint the vents black . you gotta good red black thing going the chrome vents are out of place . imho !

I'll agree with that. Frankly though, I don't like any hood that's not stock. But yeah, I still don't understand putting 4th gen style parts on 3rd gen cars just to have 4th gen style parts. In this case, the hood doesn't look right at all on this car.

I'm guessing the OP loves it though, so I thought I'd just offer some constructive criticism on tweaking it since I seriously doubt we're going to convince this guy that he's just wasted $800+. To each his own.
