Painting the whole thing cost

How much would it cost for a shop to paint a full camaro a different color than it already is? This includes door jambs, engine compartment, everywhere? Let's say a nice shiny yellow. Best guesses are cool, thanks, Tony

You doing the prep work or them? Does it need any body work such as dings or deep scratches. It could cost up to $4000, if you went all out with details like diff. color ground fx or racing stips.

It all depends on the shape of your car now. Any rust? Things that would affect price are whether they have to strip old paint or not, kind of paint (urethane,base/clear etc..) .

You can get a factory quality paint job for around $1800-$2000. There is usually an extra cost for a color change.

Oh yea, a good paint shop will remove all your bumpers and GFX also. That is the proper way to do it. I would say the proper quote would be more like in the $3000 range.

Just gone one, it ran me $3333, but I also got over $1000 in new parts and stripped/dismantled it and reassembled it myself. The more you can do yourself the more you'll save, parts will cost the same, but the shop's time is a lot more costly than yours is, plus you get to know the car a little better
