Got mirror with lights, where to wire them?

I picked up a couple of rear view mirrors with the reading lamps in them.
I got the wires for them with the lights.
I would like the lights to come on when I open the doors or turn on the interior lights as well as come on when I use the switches on the mirrors.
I've seen some third gens with these type of mirrors installed from the factory, where do I connect the wires so that I can get them to operate the way that I described above.
Thanks

just run the wire under your headliner, tie into your dome lite.It should work like you described, the mirror should have a two way switch on it as well.

Hope I helped........Hammer

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....

Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Black wire goes to ground.
Orange wire goes to constant 12V power source (find and splice into one under the dash).
White wire connects to the pin switch on the door jamb.
That's it....

I hooked up my mirror lights. wasn't too hard. took off the overhead console wrong, tried to remove all the screws instead of just the two in the dome light and sliding the console forward. At least now I know how to remove/install the console.
