The **** is connected to the lever that pulls out, so you have to remove the lever. Here's what you do...
-disconnect the negative terminal on the battery
-pull the headlight switch all the way out, look behind the trim plate ond you'll see that there is a little **** type thing way in there that has to be inserted in order to get it out. I used a long thin flatblade screwdriver to do this.
-to put it back, just push the lever back in.

Good luck

You have to pull off the bottom dash cover by removing the 3 Torx screws towards the steering wheel. Look up directly under the **** and about 5-6 inches back, you will see a small metal "button". It has a spring above it to keep tension on it. Pull the headlight **** out all the way, then, while presing the "button" with a screwdriver, or maybe a rachet extention, pull the **** all the way out, to put it back in, just stick it in the hole and push it all the way in. You are gonna have to disconnect your battery or your headlights will stay on while the **** is out. Hope this helps!

Twiggy beat me to it, but I'll keep mine here just in case you need it.
