If the measurement from the Camaro nose to the rear tires is shorter than trailer deck, then it will work. Not the best maybe, but the Camaro can be hauled with the rear hanging off (tires on, obviously) but it could be used.

anyone know what the measurements on the car would be? im trying to tow the new one home tomorrow and i have access to a trailer of those measurements

id be concerned with the weight/axle rating of a trailer that small.

Front of front tire to rear of rear tire mine is just over 12. Contact patch of tire to pavement, front to rear is just under 12'. So IF there is no railing on the front or nothing sticking up, the nose could overhang the trailer deck & the rear body do the same & it would JUST fit. If anybody rearended you? They'd hit the Camaro instead of the trailer. Depending on how long the tongue of the trailer is, you might find turning restricted & the Camaros nose hitting the towing vehicle on turns. Or is the trailer tongue is really short, but it shouldn't be that short, the Camaro could hit the tow vehicle before the tow ball was connected.
It is gonna be a snug fit & how far to tow? I don't know of any restrictions on towing something longer than the trailer (3rd gens are approximately 16' long) other than having to tie a red ribbon hanging off the back to indicate 'Oversized Load'.
I think it is gonna be real tight, but probably possible.

I just rented a uhaul trailer to bring my camaro home, The front tires go all the way to the front of the deck and the rear tires were close to the the rear. It was well balanced and it hauled the car great.

Re: is this trailer to small to tow a camaro?
I used the u-haul trailer the other day and actually found it worked better to load the car rear-end first, makes for a slightly off-balanced load, but it put the biggest overhang to the rear and gave me plenty of room to turn around when backing the trailer in. I had it on a reciever, not the bumper so no gaurantee if you would clear or not but it will gain you a few inches if you need it
Re: is this trailer to small to tow a camaro?
yea its a uhaul trailer, the tonge is pretty long but the deck is exactly 12"... i have plenty of room just makin sure the car will actualy fit, i have to go about 60-70 miles highway, towing one camaro up... then bringing one home...
Re: is this trailer to small to tow a camaro?
would it be smarter to just grab the front wheel dolly instead? iv towed em lots of times with a dolly, i just figured the full trailer would be safest

Are you using the actual car transport or just some random trailer? I had to get a truck on the transport trailer but it was a couple feet to long. So I took some very long 6x6s that we had and put them on the deck so the rear was hinging off a bit on the wood and the front tires held it down. I also covered the thing in straps and was only going 5 miles to scrap it... Not the best but it worked.

If it were me, I'd want to go with more than just the minimum to get it done. When I got orders to move to another post, I ended up buying a 7000lb capacity 18ft trailer. In the end the weight was the only issue for my half-ton truck, but I made it safely nevertheless. Here's a few pics:

Re: is this trailer to small to tow a camaro?
Thanks! I actually got it cheap (another soldier was PCSing and had to sell it quick). Another TGO user and fellow soldier, s4l, and I put a lot of work into it. Trailer brakes on BOTH axles (remember, half ton truck), LEDs all around, complete re-wire job, etc etc. The only thing we didn't replace is the floor. We would have done that too, but he deployed and I didn't have time to finish it myself before I had to move.
I know my truck isn't pretty, and was probably not the right truck for that move, but I've got what I've got. Once the truck is painted (hopefully in the next few weeks) and the floor is replaced on the trailer, I'll really be ready to start digging into my camaro.
