How to keep mice out of your car during storage?

Anyone know what to use to keep mice out of your car during winter storage? I want to avoid poisons, traps and mothballs because of the unpleasent smell that can result. Thanks any help is appreciated.

Buy a tarp much larger then your car, center your car in the middle of and on top of it, put your car cover or another tarp on top of the car and tie them together tight enough so ther are no gaps for mice. I know this may not sound like much of an idea but it's a start. There are actual car "bubbles" out there but this is the same idea and may be effective for the small investment.

Stuff rags in the tailpipes, and a post-it on the steering wheel that says: "Remove rags from tailpipes first"
