damage-rbuilding front end

damage-rbuilding front end
I suffered a hit and run, now i have to rebuild. anyone have any tips for this type of job?????

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
Eh, did they take off your front end? Or is the bumper or fender dented? If they took off your whole front end than you better go to a frame shop; if they dented a fender then the frame should be fine.
Unbolt the old, bolt on a junkyard one.
Or, if the damage isn't too bad, now's a good time to pick up a book on bodywork. Work the dent out so it's very shallow, and use Bondo to fill it. Remember- Bondo must be used very THIN, if you put a thick slab on there, it'll crack in half after a year or so. Also remember that neither Bondo, or Primer, is waterproof!
