what are those things over the lights

what are those things over the lights
i have seen some of those shaded things that go over the headlights(at an angle to cover up that huge hole that the headlights are placed in) on some cars i guess they are there for aerodynamics or something i just wanted to know what they were cause i am going to try and get some

T-5 tranny. thank god, i couldnt stand an LG4 auto.
Plans for an LT-1 or LT-4,
also plans for dual flowmaster exaust.
Got a corvette when i was 16, paid for it myself, screwed the engine up (idiot light didnt work, and i trusted the guy when he said he just changed the oil), and it turned into a project car.
now my TA is my daily driver. not a bad one, but it needs to be faster.

sorry didnt seem to make it seem stupid... im sure they help the drag numbers on the car a bit. the light steups on camaros are like scoops. if i was gonna race a 3rd gen camaro i would remove those and make them where my ram air came from.
i say get em. there usually arround 60-80 bucks and the look sharp. the little GTS logo can be taken off with gas as i hear.
