Shaving the Antenna

I'd like to shave the antenna on my Z....I have heard about the Untenna (I think it was) but have not really heard anything about it though. Anybody know anything about this? How well does it work? Anything at all?

I was considering the same thing. Is that antenna the one you can put under the skin of the car?

Whenever I replaced my passenger fender I went ahead and deleted the antenna.
I added a signal booster and I have a friend that worked at Sears and he got me one of the antenna that they use on the radio display board. It is like a cable and I ran it up under the dash the recpetion is fine.
Classic Industries carries a "Smart Antenna" it retails for around $70 I contacted them but the customer service representive really couldn't give me any information on it.

I shaved the antenna from my '88 TA and placed a power antenna in the pillar behind the passenger. I frenched (or scalloped) the antenna into the body for that smooth look... I need to take another look at it because reception "aint all that."

Are the antenna's specially tuned for the radio frequency's or not? I've heard that coat hangers do great and if that's the case I'll just try to straighten out a coat hanger and put it in the pillar.
