HVAC box
mods move this if need be.
when we did the motor swap on my FORMULA we somehow bumped the AC box by the #8 and popped a 3x4ish hole. besides replacing the lower half (which i may do at eng swap time) what can i do to repair the box besides putting silver tape used in home heat and air systems.
also, how much will that hole affect my AC when its running?

Re: HVAC box
You can fiberglass it, but that would still require disassembly. And quite frankly, at that point you might as well replace with a new one.

Re: HVAC box
well it wont work very good with the hole in it hahah
I'd take some thing like a tupperware (its pliable) the thinner ones anyhow, Trim it of course and Use something such as JB weld or trim adhesive, just so I could get by. That is a Hard spot to Fix it right. and you mentioned pulling it out later. so what the heck. at least your a/c would make it into the cabin.

Re: HVAC box
i dunno why i didnt think of fiberglass. fortunatly for me my headers can be easily removed and being its sorta tucked back it wont show up after its painted black or the off black/ grey color the box is.
will that hole hurt the performance of my AC? if so i'll get this fixed within the next 2 weeks.
