2pt roll bar question

I searched the archives but couldn't find anything on this. I have a 91 convert and would like to putin a roll bar for added safety. I don't want to put in a 4 or 6 point cause I use the car daily and need to get in and out of the front and back seats.I don't race but do put it into corners pretty hard. I took my car to a custom chassis shop and they said they could make me a 2 point roll bar (Hoop) but it would only offer mimimal protection and also said 2 point roll bars are mostly for show. They also said that a square or rectangular tube type 2 point roll bar would offer some protection because of the geometry but they don't work with square tubing.
Does anyone know of a rectangular tube roll bar that is made and if so who makes one??
Sure appreciate the help........bob

A 2 pt. is definitely a good idea in a convertable. I thought about making one for mine. But I think rectangular tubing would be ugly. Well.... maybe. Depends on how it's done.

As far as protection, it's better than nothing, but for safety, at least a 4 pt. is preferable, and wouldn't get in the way of getting in and out anymore than normally with the top up.

At least the shop you went to was honest. Chassisworks sells a four point that doesn't interfere with rear seat use and a 8 point with optional swing out door bars, so it won't hamper front seat use. www.cachassisworks.com
