Just bought Set of Black Leather...
6 way power seats out of a 2000 TA. The guy selling them and the picures I saw indicate they are in perfect shape. The TA only had like 5,000 miles. Got them off of Ebay fairly cheap! I'm VERY excited to install them of my 86 Iroc. My question is where can I get the best quality carpet (not the dealer)? I figure before I install the seats I might as well replace the carpet, but kind of uneasy about some of these places. I know there is many places that sell carpet and I was specifically looking at Classic Industries and Year One. Also, who sells replacement carpet for the front lower kick panels?
Thanks,
Mike

Classic Industries carpet is made by ACC. Auto Custom Carpets something or other... Its nice carpet, looks exactly like the original but lighter weight. As for the kick panels, cut your own or clean your originals. As far as I'm aware the only place for that carpet would be GM.

Try to buy it direct from ACC, I think you can save money that way (I learned the hard way). http://www.accmats.com/
I'll tell you who is even cheaper than ACC is www.1aauto.com & they use the original GM replacement carpet that ACC sells. Check em out.

I paid $900 + $125 for shipping. This was a great deal for me because I REALLY wanted a set of 4th gen leather seats for my IROC and I didn't want just someone elses crap. These seats are brand new out of a 2000 TA with only about 5,000 miles when they where removed. For this price I got Front and rear leather seats (drivers side is 6 way power) plus a set of leather door panels from the same car. I can't use the door panels on my 86 IROC so I figure I'll just sell those, in which case the seats become even cheaper! If I went to the dealer and bought all of these items, I'm sure the price would exceed $3,000!

cool! i also own a 1986 IROC, and was thinking of doing a leather seat swap. please post how the installation went!
hehe 3,000 from the dealer? try more like $120,000. I bet if you buy a new chevy car with a half-tank of gas, it cuts the cost by 1,000 bucks, vs the price with a full tank of "GM" gas.

I recently posted another source for 4th generation seats. It is Lamberts in Boonesville, MS. I heard about them on this list. My leather seats, out of a 1998 TA, look like they have NEVER been sat in. No tears, no dirt, no cracks, not even where the driver's butt slides against the left has 6-way power and both sides have power lumbar inflation.
It wouldn't be fair to Lambert's to hold them to prices, but I will say that if I had wanted charcoal leather in similar mint quality, I was quoted $500 plus shipping. Since I wanted tan, I paid substantially less than that. The smile on my face from the price turned into a huge grin when I saw the condition in which they arrived. Perfect.

I just bought some mint black leather seats for my 86 Trans Am. Paid $600 + $45 for shipping.
Seats came out of a low mileage 96 Camaro SS.
Those seats make the car look so much nicer.
Driver seat is powered.
Seats bolted in without any problems.
