Notchback
Notchback
I have a 1988 Camaro. 305 TBI. I am looking for information on a notchback they came out in 1988 on a GTA they are very rare. I am wandering if any one knows of some one that builds them. In Canada or in the States.
I also would like the dimensions on them since by stereo takes up the back hatch I need room.

Carnage, There is (or was) a company that was making notchbacks. They looked in the ad i remember just like the original. I saw it in a High Perfomance Pontiac. It was at least 5 years ago. I hope someone comes up with the company name because i need struts and mounting hardware. The one i have is from an '89 GTA that got a new one under warranty. This happened alot because the paint litterally boils off of them. A friend got his the same way. Because it was warranty, i did'nt get any struts, hardware, glass, etc.. Been using a broom stick for 6 years. The originals are very heavy and using a broom stick is getting pretty dangerous. Open your hatch and use something like a broomstick, place it across the opening, on the weatherstrip. From the center of the axle "hump" back you need about 2-3 inches down from the broomstick. Hope this helps.

Check my website under Catalogs, Motion Glass. They sell a notchback "replica."
