Third Brake Light Problem/Annoyance

On my 92 RS, my third brake light (top of hatch inside) keeps messing up....I noticed yesterday that it wouldnt light up......being the **** person that I am (I hate when peoples lights dont work!!) I opened up the housing and looked inside. The light was kinda loose....I jiggled it around a bit...checked it...and it worked fine....assembled everything back together...and it worked fine..........today...I drove it to school and home....when I got home tonight I checked it and it was off again.......pissed me off......anyways......my question is......how do I keep the light from becoming loose? Thanks

I had the same problem with my '91... The contacts in the bulb socket need to be bent slightly inward, so that they will remain in contact with the bulb itself. When you do it, be careful, cuz that socket is very brittle by now and can crack easily. Mine eventually got so bad that I had to replace it...
