Need help with license plate bracket

Just bought an 87 GTA and it doesn't have a front license plate. I went to the gm place and bought all the parts to put it on and don't know exactly on the front where it goes. Is there some kind of mounting for it under the front fascia or do you use self-tapping screws? I really don't want to put the thing on but I have to, the cops around here are very annoying and will pull you over just for the fun of it. THANX

I have a front license plate and it is held on by screws going into the front fender. The owner before me did it. I wish that he wouldn't have because now there are big holes in my fender. Thats the only way that I know how to put it on.

I wouldn't put it on.... I just took mine off actually and wish it didn't have it before. They look so much better w/o the front plate! If you are gonna put it on/have to get two L shaped pieces and screw them on the bottom so if you want to take it off their aren't holes in the front clip.

It is supposed to mount just under where the nose kinda gets flat and not angled in the middle. it is held on with self tapping screws.
I do not have one on my Formula i also did not have one on my 83 T/A,i just put the plate in hte windshield so i did not get pulled over.
I was only ever written a ticket for it once in 10 years.and i talked it down ot $5.
