INSTALLING T-TOPS
INSTALLING T-TOPS
i have a 92 rs with neither a sunroof or tops. I would like t-tops..But im not sure how hard they are to install. My dad has a shop and could make the cuts into the roof But if its really hard i dont want to get into that. Anyone install T-Tops themselves or have a place do it? If so about how much would it cost (parts + labor)? Junkyard parts Good/Bad idea?
Thanks
Thanks
Best thing to do is look for a T-top car. The cost would be astronomical. It's possible to put tops in a hardtop car and a few companies make them, but why chop up a perfectly good hardtop car when there's cars with T's running around?
Your best bet is to get a car that has factory t-tops. With the money you are about to spend, your could buy one that has them already in and transfer all your parts to it. Also, t-top cars are specially made, installing t-tops with cause stress on the roof, frame, and other parts.
I agree with pookey, find one with t-tops and swap your stuff into it, it'd be cheaper and the car would be stronger... also, I'd skip on the sun roof, most of the people I've talked to that had them installed said they wind up leaking and generally ruin the cars interior
