Will t-tops from an '85-'92 fit my '83?

I was wondering if t-tops from an '86-'92 would fit my '83. Does it matter if they are from a camaro or not in order to put them on my TA? I know there is a difference in the pins...but is there any way that they will fit? Please let me know. I need to know as soon as possible. Thanks.

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
They will work if you change the attachment points on the body. To change these, remove the screw at the top of the black A-pillar molding; you'll see two more screws holding the bracket to the windowframe. Swap this to the pin style and adjust for fit. The rear ones are similiar, except the screw for the black molding is near the bottom of the piece.
AFAIK, Camaro and Firebird panels will interchange - the ones on my 83 SC are from an 86 Firebird.

Good luck
Pete

I found a pair of t-tops that this guy has. They are brand new, and still packaged. He sent me pics of them, they still have that plastic covering over the glass that come on them when they are brand new, he peeled it up to show in the pics. They are for an '85-'86 camaro. Will these fit my '83 TA? Will they definitely fit after I do that conversion thing through the junkyard? Also will they end up leaking? He is asking $160 for them. Are they worth $160? If so, I will probably but them this weekend. Please let me know. Thanks.

Well The last set of t's that I bought I paid $100 shipped to me from this guy in Louisiana I think...the way he shipped them it was a miracle that they did not break...Falling apart boxes losely tapped togeather and the only padding was half inch thick fiberglass insulation...I was less than impressed with that guy.
But I would go to ebay and check the prices on their first...might get a better deal...
