White Face guages

Anyone have pics of one installed in a car?
I want to get one, but I want to know what they look like before I do buy them...Also can you change the color of your bulbs why you are installing this?
Thanks,
Joe

That rings a bell. I got an email from him a few months ago asking what my overlays were made from. I don't understand how sanding would be involved!?

Does anybody know if they make the white faced gauge overlays for my 1983 Trans am? I am highly interested in purchasing them, but unfortunately I dont see any made for my car. I also wanted to put in the bright white xenon-krypton light bulbs. Please somebody let me know. Thanks

HIS INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT SAY TO SAND OFF OLD INK FROM PLATES BUT I USED MY BRAIN AND FIGURED WHEN MY DASH LIGHTS WERE ON I WOULD GET A CHECKERD PATERN IF I DIDN'T SAND THEM. PLUS IT LOOKS REALLY COOL AT NIGHT...THEY GLOW GREEN W/BLACK TEXT. IF ANY ONE WOULD LIKE PICS I WILL HAVE SOME NEXT WEEK.

Does anyone have any pics of the blue and/or red bulbs w/ the white face guages? I only found one pic of blue on that site. I wanted to get more of a feel for what the guages look life with the colored bulbs... Those blue lights look too light/white, I was thinking red or some other color that gives a custom looking color at night would be sweet.

Thanks guys. I'm new here, and I was actually looking for white-faced gauges. One quick question: The MacEwen site doesn't have blue bulbs; they state the xenon ones don't give off true blue glow, as I expected. Where can I find bulbs that will give off a true blue glow? I'm ordering my overlay kit today, so I'd like to get the bulbs soon too

Well, its not a "true" blue. Its more like an aqua blue. Its really pretty cool I think. I don't know where you could get a real dark blue though. May have some luck just painting the bulbs with something.

No, aqua blue is fine; but on the site it says that the glow really isn't BLUE at all; and I want an aqua blue glow.

On 90 and newer cars, the blue bulbs do not look blue, since they shine through yellow numbers, it makes the dash look greenish.

There is a thread around here with descriptions of what the different color bulbs look like on 90+ maros check it out...might even have pics soon
