DOOR PANEL REMOVAL
HOW DO I REMOVE THE DOOR PANELS STEP BY STEP? I NEED TO REPLACE BOTH DOOR LOCKS AND IF I CAN REMOVE DOOR PANELS MYSELF THE LOCKSMITH SAYS I WILL SAVE A TON OF MONEY.

First remove the door arm rest it has three bolts, one at the top and two on the bottom. If you have manual windows remove the window crank, with power remove the torx screws that hold the switches to the trim be carefull because some of the screws are fake and are molded to the plastic for looks. do the same with power mirror swith if you have that. you dont remove the switches from the wires just let them hang and remove the black plastic trim from the panel you will have to play with the lock **** a little to get it off the lock rod inside. After that and you get all the screws holding the trim removed the trim should come right off. Next CAREFULLY pry the front of the plastic trim below the window away from the door, you wont remove this its held in place to the panel by plastic fasteners and you just need to pop the front away from the panel. The panel itself is held to the door by plastic fasteners just start on one side and get your fingers behind there and carefully pry it away from the door, do this all the way around the panel. After you get them all, work the panel out of the top trim and your done.

to add to this,
everything Todd said...and you can replace the locks yourself for about 15 more bucks!
there is a rod connecting the lock switch to the lock.
gently remove the plastic clip from the rod by rotating it and the rod will pull out of the lock(this is at the back of the door)
after you do this, the lock will pop out by removing a shim...typically pulling the shim forward will allow you to pull the lock out from the outside.
then simply reverse the ENTIRE process and you're saving more money than you expected.
NO LOCKSMITH! ! !
