I used base/clear from Summit. National Rule base and High Solids clear... VERY happy with both. The metallics in the base laid out very smooth and even...no striping. I put 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear on everything.

Re: NEW MEMBER

Thanks Guys! She did great on her first long trip... almost 300 miles today, and most likely another tomorrow (house hunting out of town)... I did originally buy the car to paint and resell, but I have to admit I have gotten pretty attached to it. Always wanted one of these "back in the day".

Re: NEW MEMBER

Try removing those front turn signals and compound/polish them. Mine are in the same condition, and I hit then with some compound and they started to clean up nicely!

Yep, I need to do that. Plus, I found out today that the stinkin USPS lost the damn decals apparently... I'll give the seller a little more time to send more, then I want a refund...what a waste of time.

Put 600 miles on the car between today and yesterday, it loves going fast on the interstate

Re: NEW MEMBER

Small update: Ive now put over 3000 miles on the car and its still doing great, knock on wood. I did find out the other day that these things are horrible in slick conditions... worse than I had even imagined, but I made it through with no incidents which is good b/c I only carry liability insurance on it.

Decals finally came, but I only have one pic and the car was a bit hazy from road salt... yeah, i know, I hate driving it in the crap, but I have no choice right now
