You'll need to visit your local car stereo store and see about a hidden antenna you can stick behind your dash or something. Otherwise you'll just have to do without radio, and get a cd changer.

I shaved the attenae off my last Z. What I did was use fiberglass cloth underneat, bondo and paint on top for the fender. I went to Parts America or auto palace...one of the two and bought the "hidden attenae" kit. It's an attenae that adheres to your windsheild inside, you take the dash cover off and run this 3/8" tape along the edges of your windshield. The tape has the wire attenae in it and you couldn't see it from inside or outside. It actually gave me better reception than the stock, $14.95 later of course.
I shaved mine as well and frenched a power antenna into the "B" pillar behind the passenger window...

I wonder how it would look if you shaved the antenna in the front and then installed it in the rear? Kinda like a corvette. It would be different cause I don't recall seeing one like that before. Later
ok guys thanks. that is what i needed to know. and steve i have been to your site many times to gawk at your car. and i just would rather not have an antenna that shows. i just dont like it. but you did a great job on the frenched antenna! and thanks for the input on where to buy the kit. i will look next time i make it in town! thanks again.

I did the same thing, I basically took out all the antenna crap, busted out the MIG and just filled it in, then I got one of those internal antennas and hid it behind the radio. I dont know why people would ever use fiberglass, LOL thats pathetic! it would crack like nothin and wouldn't adhere to metal really well, but whatever floats your boat... btw Steve your car looks SWEET !
go to www.superfest.com and check out some pics of mine; i did it too!! gotta tell you it looks awsome, but i haven't been able to find an antenna that works up to my expectations!
