PepBoys Screwing me what can i do?

Ok here is what happened... I went to pepboys in florida to get new tires... I ask for 65's and they put on 75's well this size <which is correct for base but i have a z-28> procedes to tare into my fenderwell and displace my fenders <1 month after paying 2300 on a paintjob and bodywork>. Well I had to go back to TN to go to school and since the nearest pepboys is in the boonies I replaced my rims with 15 inchers <from 14> and decent tires from a junkyard. I drive to pepboys and they replace my tires for the right size.

I put in a claim and they are trying to say that the correct 15 inchers i swapped on caused the problem <this from someone who is in some corporate building> and some yahoo from the fl office saying from 65 to 75 is only a half inch difference and couldnt possibly cause the damage, what can i do.

I don't know how to get them to pay for the damage but you can use this program I made to calculate the tire diameter.

seems more like you need to consult a laywer(which in a lot of places is free to ask if you have rights to take action) to see what action to take

An inch is a big deal when u are talking about a Camaro and Tires. The aspect Ratio is a percentage of the tread width. A p235 75 r15 has a 176mm side wall and a 65 series would have a 152.75mm side wall. That would be like 2.5 cm of diference. VERY substantial when u are talking about a car that doesn't have a lot of tire clearance to begin with. It depends on how sad the springs are too. You are well in your rights but I have to say this anyway. I don't want to flame u but why didn't you notice the size right when they put them on. I always check a job to see if it was done right!!

Threaten them that you will go to the better business bureau and also that you will stand in front of the driveway and hand out a flyer you will make to make all future customers aware of what happened

not to be mean or n e thing but the big problem was that u went to pepboys, pepboys r *******s who dont know there ****, there rookies, when ever i go there they give me the rong part everytime i go there,id get tires at sears if i were u or just tires if u have a place like that, i got tires at pepboys once n they only had 2 of em in stock , i had to wait 4 weeks for my other 2 tires, each time they would have a diffrent moddle or a diff size
