The heat inside dosn`t work

(Sorry for my bad languich i´m from sweden)
Hi my problem is:
if I take off the vacumhose( in the engin department,that is locadid on the right side over the valvecover.The tube from the element inside goes too this valve)from this valve ,then i have heat inside the car,but if i put on this the heat whill go avay.
I seams that it is vacum in the hose,that shudet be thear the hose color is black.
And it goes into a kablewire into the firewall my car is a red convertibel iroc -88
I hope somewone understands my languich
and can help me with my problem

Well if it does that, then your problem is inside the car. Do any other controls work ? Like the regular "Vent" position or A/C ? If not, then you might want to check the vacuum hose that goes on the side of the plenum and the inside the car to control all your A/C / heat functions. If everything else fails, then I'd take the whole control panel off and look behind it for cracked or disconnected hoses.
