Car Alarm
Car Alarm
I'm going to be installing my alarm this weekend and I was just wondering where everyone put the "brain" and shock sensor of their alarms. Also, where do you guys usually put your LED? The one on my last 'bird was between the stereo and the A/C controls. I want to put this one between my trunk release and my defogger switch...will this work?

I installed mine under the dash pad.My l.e.d. is between my power window switches. Just take off the dash and put the brain there. But since the dash is lined with metal underneath,be sure to run the ant. wire from the alarm to the outside edge, like between the dash and windshield where you can't see it.

It should be a brown wire right behind the light switch.Test it by putting a meter or test light on the wire and turn the parking lights on.The test light will light up(or the meter will show around 12 volts) when you turn the lights on.
The alarm has now been installed for a while, but I still haven't connected the parking lights.
How do I get to the brown wire?
I tried to hook the parking light lead to the grey wire under my shift plate, but that only made my gauge cluster flash.

after the last break in I moved my alarm under my drivers seat UNDER the carpet and made the wires look like speaker wire
