I have a trans am hood, it has the part numbers F3 A12 84 10025193 I have researched all over and it keeps coming back to the 1984 trans am Limited Edition . the kitt car or knight rider hood as some call it its a steel hood not the aluminium one. Im looking to sell it but I want to make sure I have it listed right . it still has the ram air cover for the air breather in the hood . can any one give me some information on this hood. The original color is red I also have the doors its the limited edition trans am the door handles still have the factory stickers on them the glass is in tact and theres a window motor on one . this hood goes on the trans am with the flip lights again im looking to sell them I dont want to scrap them.
the hood has a scratch on it and a few minor dings but nothing that cant be fixed

What information are you looking for specifically? Sounds like your regular run of the mill 82-84 T/A or 87-92 Formula hood.

That's a fairly common hood. It is not rare and is not highly valuable, but it is sellable. If it is good condition somebody will want it. They work great to update a base Firebird to look like a Formy or an early TA. Where are you located? Shipping costs on sheetmetal is a killer. You may want to sell it locally.

 

im in southern calif. it needs to be repainted and has small dings in it like 4 or 5 easily fixed is in good shape for as old as it is

 

Put it up on Craigslist, see what you can get, you can't really ship it so you are looking for a local buyer. With dings, I would be surprised if you got more than $100 for it.

Yes I have the hood still two doors the rear bumper cover and the spoiler and some glass

These hoods are worth 10x their US value here in Australia! I was lucky enough to just acquire one locally.
