question about painting driver side spoiler?

when i bought my camaro the drivers side spolier was broken. the middle and the passanger side are fine. this is the question i bought i drivers side piece off ebay. so do u think i should paint the piece myself and i don't have a lot of body work expericence. or should i just bring it to a body shop to get it painted? by the way my car is green and the spoiler piece is blue right now. also how much around would i cost to get it painted at a body shop? and if i painted it my self what type of paint should i use?
thanx

If you car is original green you could get some Duplicolor touch up paint for about $3.50 a can that matches relativly close. lightly sand the part w/some 400-600 grit,, wipe clean w/some wax remover (or rubbing alcohol will work fine w/spray paint & such a small part). Primer part,, light sanding again,, wipe dust away & paint. Wait a day or 2,, a buff w/some rubbing compund, and a cleaning w/some body scrub & you can havea cheap finish that looks about like this

that should be good enough for that little piece

* grit sandpaper
* the part, meaning the blue piece

I suppose you can just paint on over the blue after sanding it but,, will take more coats to cover tho since metallic paint is sort of opaque in color (assuming the green you have is metallic now)
