Nylon Nut for Front Park Light.

Hi,

Not sure if the Body section is the right place for this. On the Firebird the Front Parking lights beside the headlights are screwed to what the Parts catalog describes as a Reinforcement panel. There are two black nylon nuts pushed into the panel to screw in the parking light. They are oval in shape. After a while these nylon nuts break in two. I am sure loads of other people had this happen to them. I am down to one now. I could probably file out a square hole and put something else in but would like to get original if possible.

On the parts catalog there is a part number for them as 3999700. I had a search earlier on the clips and fasteners sites but am not coming up with a match. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and managed to sourse these or is there another part number for them.

Thanks.

Thanks guys for that. The part number I got from the 82 Parts manual is 3999700.

I was on the Clips and Fasteners website last night but missed that, Thanks Sonjaab.
