Hi guys and gals! I'm repainting my Trans Am and I'm haveing trouble finding the correct color for the gold on the bottom of my car!! I've tried Googling this and all I can find are the main colors. I don't wanna just go out and get any gold. I'd like to get as close as possible as I can. If any one could help, that would be AWESOME!!!! Thanks in advance!!

im assuming you dont have the spid sticker with all the rpo codes on it?
Paint codes are there as well as the other options

No. There is no sticker on the car. There are two stickers but no one have anything about color codes.

 

They are the accent colors!!! what year are you looking for ??
Does't matter weather their UPPER OR LOWER.

The spid sticker should be in the center console. It will have the VIN number as well as all the other rpo codes. at the bottom should be the paint codes it should be WA XXXX for 2 tone cars it will have a WA LXXXx UXXXX L is the lower color and U is the upper

On occasion i have saw the spid sticker in the rear lock compartment inside the hatch.

If not either place, maybe someone here with the same car can help ya. Or you could try to go to your dealer and see if they can pull up the rpo codes from your vin.
Every once in a while they still pull up or least they did back in my days working at the dealer.

 

The car isn't original and I've looked all over the car for this sticker. I've also tried the dealers and they can't go back that far. So I was hoping to find someone on here that had the same black and gold package as mine. Thanks!!

 

When you went to that gm color site did you click on 1987, unfortunately Pontiac FireBird didn't use Gold that year,maybe its a Copper Color or Saddle.
Correction!!! they used a Yellow Gold,but I don't think it's that.

 

That's the problem I'm having. Guess I'll have to pick a color close to it. I appreciate all your help!!

Did a little searching and I'm almost positive your lower accent color is Champagne Gold,WA8753.In 86,you could only order the Champagne Gold or Black on the lower aero moldings on the Black TAs.
