LIGHTED REAR VIEW MIRROR QUESTION????

I JUST FOUND THIS LIGHTED REAR VIEW MIRROR AT THE JUNK YARD TODAY. IT CAME OFF OF A 86 BERLINETTA AND HAS 3 WIRES, ONE BLACK, ONE WHITE AND ONE WITH A RED STRIP ON IT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA ON THE PROPER WAY I SHOULD HOOK IT UP. ON THE BERLINETTA IT WAS WIRED TO THE DOME LITE. I WOULDN'T MIND DOING IT THIS WAY BUT I JUST PAID A SMALL FORTUNE TO REDO MY HEADLINER(T TOP) AND DON'T WANT TO SCREW IT UP. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. THANKS

The reason it's wired to the dome light is because it's wired to turn on with the rest of the lights you open the door or turn on the interiors. If you want you can run it from one of the other interior lights like the two bulbs under the dash, or you can just leave it off altogether, and have it to where it only turns on and off with the switch.

But you still have to run the wires under the headliner

Not really-just a little bit on the edge.
When I put mine in I ran 1 wire to a hot lead(fuse panel)I ran the wire under the pillar on the driver side(along windshield) and I used a screw from the visor as a ground--I left the other wire just hanging, by doing that it only worked when I pushed the switch. Once you run the wires just tuck them under the liner(along the edge) and your done.
E-mail me if you have any further questions and I'll try to explain a little better.

THANKS, I DON'T THINK I NEED TO RUN IT TO MY DOME ANYWAY. I GOT THIS SWEET RED BULD IN THERE AND THE RED AND THE WHITE FROM THE MIRROR WOULD CLASH. I ONLY NEED THE MIRROR FOR READING DIRECTIONS AND STUFF. I GOT THE MIRROR FOR $2.00 BUCKS SO IT'S WORTH A LITTLE TROUBLE. I'LL EMAIL YOU IF I HAVE PROBLEMS.

You can change the bulbs in the mirror to make them red too.

Look where the lights are, near the little switch you will see a small slit(notch)stick a small flat head in there and pry it down--it'll pop right out. don't remember which bulb size but you'll see it, just pull up on the bulb.
