my passenger side wiper arm hits my hood as it wipes. Has anyone had this problem. And how did you correct it?

also recently obtained a
'69 chevelle SS396 w/Turbo 400,3.31 posi,11.0 to 1, headers,etc. Latest project car,'86 IROC stock 305TPI hit on left side,but not too bad

 

Mine we doing the opposite, the drivers side wiper was going about 6 inches off the side of the car, it turned out that the shaft for the wiper arm was stripped and the wiper was not properly aligned. I just bought a whole new wiper transmission from the motor to the blades at a junkyard for $30.

 

I have the same exact problem with my passenger side wiper arm hitting the hood I haven't tried to fix it really but I think there is a way to adjust the hood upwards. Open the hood and look near the the back of the fenders (underneath the hood) there should be little black ****/screw type things that you can't screw and adjust the hood up a bit. Not sure if that will help but it's worth a try.

 

Check to see if the arm is bent and that the plastic stop below where the wiper rests is still in place and not broke off thats how mine got bent.
