Who has a valentine 1 radar detector?

Just wondering who has a valentine one radar detector and what you think of it. I've read reports saying that it's the dogs bollocks and that everyone should have one but I just wanted to hear from people who have it. So, what do you think of it?

Thanks for the time

Robert

My dad has used one for about 4 years now and loves it. It has saved his *** more times than we can count. It is very sensitive. He drives a truck for a living. He got the chance to compare it to one of Bell's top of the line units directly. Another driver had it in his truck, and tey were going the same place. The Valentine gave notice from 2 to 3 times earlier than the Bell. The $500 he spent has been more than recaptured by the tickets and higher insurance he has avoided.

I love my V1.. worth every red cent. You'll hear people tell you it's all hooplah, and it's not worth the price (mind you, none of these people actually own one) -- they are jealous. Simple as that.

I've picked up traps in excess of 1mi. sometimes, basically.. if you get caught with the V1, you were going to get caught anyway.

I bought mine 2 years ago after I got pissed at my top of the line Bell detector - it was aways going off for no reason.
Best detector I ever got - even if the price was somewhat outrageous...
It takes some time to get used to the directional radar indicator, but once you do, you won't go back to a single horn unit.

I had such fun driving over my Bell detector too.
