Intermediate pipe questions?

Is a 3" I-pipe just one piece that goes from the cat to the muffler or is there another piece?

Also, Is it truly 3" from end to end with no bottlenecks?

Yea, it will be truly 3 inches all the way as far as i know, IF it is mandrel bent. Otherwise ther'll be kinks all through it like what you get from midas.

Interesting.

I just got a 3" I-pipe from SLP and at one end the edge is 3" but narrows down to 2.5" until the first turn. then there is a weld and it goes 3" the rest of the way.

The thing is the pipe when placed under the car only goes from the cat to about where you need to turn in order to clear the rear axle. Is this normal?

That, im not too sure... Im not too familiar with SLP products, but it could be done to create a bit of a suction and force out more exhaust. just a guess on this one though.
