Death of a T-Top

No no no!!!!
So I live in Mesa AZ and had to get to Phoenix.. Wife had the Grand am and I was left with my new project car, (91 RS Camaro, 305, 5spd) So I had to take the Camaro. I just bought it so its all so new to me but this car still has lots of power even with over a 100 thousand so I got on the freeway and was going 70 before I even got off the offramp when I heard a quick suction noise and I was getting blasted with air!! My drivers side T-top went flying in back of me and crashed into the cement median and was no more....

I realy suck if I left it unlocked with the handle open or if there was something up with it that I did not notice.. I called the local Chevy dealer here in Mesa for a price quote on one T-top and he said it would be $748.00 !!?!!?!!?!!?!!

I called a couple J-yards today and they kinda laughed when I told em what I was looking for. Is there any place else that sells these?

$748.00 for a t-top? For another $300.00 you could have bought my entire car with t-tops.
Check this site out:
http://www.tacreationsusa.com/
They have just about everything and at a good price. If you dont find anything email me at Pookey12B@aol.com, I'll look around here.

You can find them around here in the j yards. Post back if you want me to look for you. No where near $700.00. More like under $100.00 depending if you want glass or plastic. And you probably didn't have the handle closed. Just can't see them coming off any other way. Wonder what the guy behind you thought. He probably was looking for you to eject out of the car next. (lol)

Yes Im sure I left the latch handle open and this caused the launching of the T-top. Im lucky it did not hit another car or do any other dammage but man, the stories I will have for my kids!
