5" Spoiler from 1993?

Just found a box at work labeled "84 Camaro" inside was a fiberglass 5" spoiler, but it was very different from the one offered by hawks. It kind of fans out to a slight round, and the edge pieces aren't a harsh an angle. The newspaper inside the box was from 1993. Anybody have a clue who might have distributed it?

Have you compared it to a stock one? Hard to tell how much bigger it is with no reference.

Re: 5" Spoiler from 1993?

I have the Hawks spoiler on my car. This one is a bit more reminiscent of the 2nd gen Camaros with a slight fan to it, and rounder edges. I'll have a pic mounted up to my car... I am developing some body parts for third gens at work, and we may be doing a spoiler.

That would be cool. There have been a few people on here that said they were going to reproduce the hawks version but never have.

I recently saw a place selling it for $200.00 They have come down a lot, recently, of course I have heard a lot of negitive reviews of them.

Let us know, I would be interested in one if the price is right.

Re: 5" Spoiler from 1993?

I'll have a pic of this mounted up on the car this week. If anyone has suggestions of what they might like to see in a spoiler for this car let me know. If it looks good as is, we may go forward with something very close to what we have in hand.

Re: 5" Spoiler from 1993?

I mounted it to the car and have pics. Looks awesome. It's got a nice profile from the side view. Looks better IMO then the Hawks wing, but matter of opinion. Ill get those uploaded tomorrow.

Re: 5" Spoiler from 1993?

Ive never understood why the hawks wing has such a ridiculous sharp angled point at each side. It looks absolutely NOTHING like the curves of the factory spoiler.... I guess to some people that doesn't matter, but to me it just doesnt fit the lines of the car.

Now this spoiler you just found I think will look FANTASTIC.

That spoiler looks great. Unfortunately I don't think I could adapt it to my convertible.
