Fiberglass GTA Formula spoiler options

Fiberglass GTA Formula spoiler options
Well, my formula spoiler is looking pretty bad. Ive been looking at the hawks spoiler and the 500.00 + cost with shipping just seems too steep. I just cant seem to spend that type of cash on a spoiler even though it looks so bad for that range I could buy the fiberglass formula hood I want.
I really sat on the fence with this purchase almost used a 91-92 spoiler but I wanted a rear window with the inside high mount light to match. (no one wants to sell the window for some reason)
more searching I saw poor fitment and complaints with several people doing more modifications to make it fit. this was the extra push I needed and after contemplating buying another rubber spoiler I found a usable one but it had some strange splitting.. nothing a quick hit to the grinder couldn't fix. so after a this weekend 30.00 in resin , under 4.00 in blind or t-nuts lots of fiberglass cloth that was given to me this is where I'm at
Im no expert with this stuff but I have made things before like by slp dual cold air that I reformed to work with my ls1 swap
just wanted to throw this out there for people who don't mind making a mess and are willing to spend the time. honestly the pictures dont do it justice,

You really need to use something like this on urethane.

I guess if you were to try using the original spoiler.. but I wouldn't expect that stuff to last
you do realize this is a all fiberglass spoiler and the original was only for the copy only.
I wish I took pictures of the inside but the corners have 1/8" plywood and the center where the third break light as well. this is fiber glassed in and the blind nuts are used for the mounting of the light and spoiler to the deck. the arms of the spoiler will use the factory clips. this will truly fit like the original

Outstanding work on building your own
Make sure the wood you have on the inside of your wing is completely sealed from moisture or it could create problems.
Just a FYI on the 3M stuff, it is used by many to fix the late 60s/ early 70s Pontiac bumpers and even the heavy stock rear wing from 87-90.
As far as it lasting, It will last with proper care but when carbon metal clips are put in the spoiler like the factory does, it won't!!
