I think you could knowck it down a 100 or 200 if the guy's resonable and doesn't really knwo the value, becasue its TBI and not TPI. Even if you can't 2100$ is still a good deal just make absolutely sure theres no rust or hidden dents, these things are comign back to haunt me now.

Check for rust on the fuel lines and brake lines!! If you have ever had a brake or fuel line go out on you, its not fun. Its a somewhat simple repair but could be a good bargaining tool if they need to be replaced. Start it up and let it idle for about 10 minutes. Make sure it dosn't blow any smoke. Check the tires for wear on the insides.

If I were to re-buy a third gen, I would spend the majority of my time looking for rust and front end wear.

2100 isn't bad though if its "all there"

i believe that is a damn good deal. i got mine for $2300 and it had 165K miles on it. but there isnt a bit of rust and only 2 small dings, minus what i did to the bumper on the imfamous winter morning. and interior was in great condition.

it was nutz, they were asking $3200, and i went with my dad, and totally haggeling, he said well give you $2300 for it, and the lady though for about 30 seconds and said "well i guess thats fair." we laft saying "damn we should have offered $2000." oh well i was a good deal, and after only $600 in repairs, i believe its still a good deal.

after all, it still smokes the tires...

Price sounds good to me but like anything else pricing is regional. When i'm looking for suggested pricing on a stock (or mostly stock) vehicle i go to www.kbb.com

Enter the pertinent info, get numbers for trade in value or selling on the open market.
