changing grill insert on an 84 z28

i'm about to purchase an 84 z28, but there's just one thing that bugs me about the car, the grill insert. can the grill insert from the irocs be put in there?

I don't think it will just bolt right in since they changed the nose in 85. You may could do some cutting to get it to fit, but I've never tried it.

nope... cutting won't work either... sorry.

the 85+ noses are open along the bottom where the 82-84 are not... but the grill inserts are also a bit larger in the 85+ ... so if you were cutting, you'd have no place to attach the grills to
