Anyone have any luck with POR-15???

Hey i was just wondering if any of you guys have had much luck with this product on rust?? I used some on my old celica but it was scrapped 2 months later so I never really got to see how lasting the effects were.

Yes, great luck. I have an old rusty 4 ton roller that I used it on in 1989, and it sits out in the weather all the time (and this is Oregon). No rust has come back anywhere I used it. I have also used it on several restorations with great results, but I have to admit that after I'm done they don't see the wet much.

I've used it, I think it's great. I think you have to really follow the directions to get the best results, tho.

I've had good results with it also, follow directions on can and its works fine. I would suggest investing in some cheap rubber or latex gloves and wearing some kind of face mask if working overhead, if you get it on your skin and dont get it off immediatley you have to wear it off. Prep the area basicaly the same as for any paint, free of grease and dirt, and clean up the loose rust, doesnt have to be shiny rust free. Important, follow the directions

Good point about not getting it shiny clean. It works better with a slight patina of rust on the metal according to my supplier.
