hi guys i was wondering what color black should the hood louvers be painted on my iroc hood my car is bright red i have been told that they should be semi gloss black as well as headlight pockets but also read that louvers were gloss black with gloss black headlight pockets thanks

They're more of a satin than semi-gloss.

Actually they are not painted, bolt on right out of the box. I had an '86 Z28 repainted waaay back in 1993 and replaced all the emblems, stripes, and hood louvers. I installed them as they were and the car showed well.
