I have a 91 Camaro with two burnt out dash lights. I'm having trouble getting the dash apart becase I can't seem to remove the headlight switch ****. Is there a special tool or something?

If I remember correctly, there is a button on the bottom of the switch that will release the rod for the switch. If you look from under the dash you should be able to see it. If not you can feel it.

Hope that helps.

I know they changed the stlye a little bit but the switch may be the same as the older interiors. If so just remove the hex screws on the cover pull the switch all the way out and on the side of the metal switch housing there is a springed button, push this down and the switch **** will pull out then just use a very large flat head screwdriver to unscrew the black platic retaner nut.

In earlier models, the instrument cluster must be removed in order to access the 'button' that releases the ****.

I had the same prob. I think the button is on the side. It is small and mushroomed shaped. When you push it in you can barely tell you pushed it. It doesn't move much. You will have to push it and wiggle the **** around till it wants to release. I could just take the bottom panel off the dash and stick my arm up to get to it.
