Windshield trim

Windshield trim

Does anyone happen to know the part number or about how much that piece of trim (vinyl?) that goes around the front windshield..mine is all faded

I don't think you can get it. Hmm.. Mine was metal and it was painted with the rest of the car. I got a new windshield put in three weeks ago and they used a rubber trim piece. You might ask a glass shop about it? It looks much better with the new one now, though, because it's so much flatter than the metal one was. It also looks more like how newer cars are anyway. You car is almost a twin of mine.

I also just had a windshield put in last week. New glass was $80 and the guy that put it in for me ($20) put on the generic rubber trim piece. I actually like it better too.

Hmm well mine doesnt appear to be metal..but maybe I'm dumb I painted that metal piece around the rear hatch a few months ago which looks much...maybe I'll ask my buddy with the body shop about that piece.. I want a new one my is faded and ugly!

Ditto on the rubber trim looks much better and the larger "T" shape keeps more dirt and water out than the original wedge type. And as a bonus acutally covers the wole window channel and doesn't leave an open area around the corners.
