Yay i get my 88 firebird saturday!

any tricks or anything special i should know about these cars, ive never really driven anything other than a pontiac bonneville.

This car has the L03 and i dont think it will need any maintenance. any tune ups i should do first? 89k miles on the car... btw its automatic.

Just from experience, I would recommend giving it your own kind of tuneup. When I buy a used car, I replace the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PCV valve, Fuel filter, air filter, Coolant and tranny fluid, POSI additive (if equipped), wiper blades and Oil/filter. I just don't feel comfortable driving long distances until I know the condition of the car.
