any trick to getting off that molding/window-guide peice at the top of the door?
any trick to getting off that molding/window-guide peice at the top of the door?
there is one screw at the front of the door and I cannot get it off.

Are you talking about the piece on the otside of the door? At the front of the door, there is a screw on the top holdin down the sound deadener. You may have to look for it. Remov that screw and pull the deadener back a little. I think you may need to take out the front window guide with the rubber triangle. I'm getting my car painted, so I took everything off.

You need a right angle phillips screwdriver to get to that screw.
There are two of them.
One is easy to get to and the other is further front on the door.
It's a pain to get at, just takes a bit of finess.
Side note:
If you are also removing the triangle by the mirror, I suggest taking asmall piece of masking tape to mark the position of the part.
That triangle can be a real pain when you go to adjust it for both the window and the door seal.
We have a 91 convertible and I had the same problem.
