Well, you could get the engine out of either of them probably. You'd have to modify that to swap though. You could get the rearend and brakes off the fourthgen too. Some people have done that. And if you want to be really, really custom you could always use the IRS off the vette. The possibilities are almost endless. Can you be a little more specific?? Suspension? Engine?

Seats from fourth gen definitely fit with no modifications.
Seats from vette fit, but don't recline.
Center console from 4th gen fit if you are using a 4th manual shift center console in a third gen automatic.
4th gen rear bolts right up.
the vette rear takes major modification, but is possible.
Wheels from both fit with spacers, unless you put in the 4th gen rear and then you don't need spacers.
Engines and trannies fit from both with modification.

nightcruzer, i must say that response was very helpful.
but spacers are "needed" for the rear, but i am considering a fourth gen rear (dpnding on price, any ideas?) but what about the front? Vettes have some nice rims. so i figured on going to this crusher place and yanking them from there (pay em cash) so a fourth gen rear will accept vette rims. what do i do about the front?

THANX again

You have to get spacers for the front no matter what!!! go to www.skulte.com and read about it.... Id swap in the 4th gen camaro rear end, you get posi, higher gears, disc brakes, and all the parts are newer.
