How heat resistant is por-15?

How heat resistant is por-15?

The air box on my 2bb 2.8L is rusting and i wanted to know if I could use por-15, or would I have to use hi-temp paint?

On your airbox, regular POR-15 should be just fine. They do make a high temp version for manifolds, though I'm not sure the finish is glossy, and I think it costs even more.
