Power window problem

I was driving out of the toll booth yesterday and when I powered my window up It slowed and then stopped. I drove for a couple of minutes and then it went up a bit more. My guess is the window motor is toast. I have been watching it because it always seemed to go slower than the passenger window. It just happened to be the hottest day of the year too!!! It was 105* and I was driving with the windows up. Well it took me 2 years but i finally used the AC....I think it is a little low. So is it the motor?

I'm 99.9% sure it is. My passenger window is doing the same thing. The motor should be around $40-$55. It's not too hard to change out but it's not a 1 minute job. I'm about to go get a new motor put into my passenger window. Pretty soon I'll get a new one for my driver's side to so they'll both be new. Reply back if you figure it out. Good Luck!

I wish mine was that cheap. They are $140 new here and i can only get it form the dealer. I found one at the junk yard for $30 so I am going to try to do that after I put the new rear in tonight. When it rains it pours let me tell you. This month I have had a broken power window, blown rearend, and a bad starter. I am going to burn this damn car soon!!!!! I will let you know how I make out with it.

Try www.carparts.com go there fill in the info it asks for at the start (type of car... etc...) Then you can search for power window motor and look at everything else they have for our 3rd gens. Good Luck... oh and if you're gonna burn it... lemme take that 305 off ur hands haha =)

Ya it sounds like your motor. The same thing happened to me just a few days ago. I thought maybe the switch was bad so i replaced that and it didnt fix it. I wouldnt try to do it your self. The camaro book and the parts store people said let a pro do it. I think it was worth 200 bucks to let someone do it. I watch they do it and it looked like a pain! Trust me on this one.

I put a complete rearend in my car last night and after monkeying with that, the power window shouldn't be a prob HAHA. You just have to drill the rivets out of the regulator and replace them with bolts. I am just happy the new rearend is working! By the way....the power motor out of any other chev will work in them from what I am told. I got mine out of an S10.
