Are all thirdgen camaro headliner boards the same?

Are all thirdgen camaro headliner boards the same? I'm asking because I went to install a new headliner in my 82 and the headliner board was disintegrating on me as I pulled the foam off. A new board from classic industries is $120. I haven't checked with GM, but I'm pretty sure it'll be close to that. If all body styles are the same, I'll see if I can't find one in decent condition in a junkyard. Anyone else know of places I might be able to find one cheap?

Yes, except for the obvious differences between the T-top and coupe, and overhead console vs. non-console.

Thanks. That's what I figured, but I didn't want to make a mistake.

Have you priced having it professionaly done? I just paid $120 to have one put in by a local seat cover shop.

Can I take that statement back? Now that I re-read your post I realize they probably just recovered my old one.

You might be able to find one at a junkyard- most of them are junk, but today I found a mint black T-Top headliner and the yard only wanted $10. So I VERY CAREFULLY removed all the trim pieces that hold it in and gently popped the front 2 clips loose and Voila! I had a perfect headliner for $10. I sat it carefully on the hood of the car, went back inside the car & picked up my tools, and in the 20 seconds I was doing that, the wind blew it off the hood and it broke in half on the ground.

Moral- GM headliner boards suck. I'm going to buy an aftermarket fiberglass one.

At tacreationsusa.com you can get a fiberglass headliner for 100. I have no personal experience with it, but it seams a good deal. That and if i was going to replace the headliner I would go with the fiberglass anyway.
