I'm trying to get my dash apart so I can replace the bulbs behind(two burnt out). I'm having problems getting the headlight **** off and I don't feel like breaking it. anyone know how this is done?

'92 Camaro RS, purple w/silver racing stripes. 305, open element K&N filter, flowtech headers, Summit Fully Welded Muffler, hypertech thermomaster chip, PROFORM aluminum roller rockers w/1.6 ratio, removed A.I.R. system.

 

If you pull the headlight switch to the on position, you should rotate the shaft and you might be able to see a little gap in the **** where the it mounts on the shaft. Stick a screwdriver in this gap to put pressure on the clip that holds the **** on.

Otherwise, you gotta take the guage cluster out to push in the button that lets the whole shaft come out of the switch.

 

Pull on the **** as hard as you can. Its bound to come off.
