pop up headlight replacement..help!

pop up headlight replacement..help!

i wanted to swap my drivers side headlight motor because the light wasnt goin up. the only problem is, i cant even get the light up manually!!! its stuck in the down positiotn. does anyone know how to replace this light motor now? i dont want to pay someone an outrageous amount, if i can still do it myself!

You first have to take out the entire headlight assembly (there are 3 bolts on top and 2 under it) when you got it off, there are 4 bolts holding the motor to the rest of the assy. Check the motor and you'll prlly end having to get a new one.

But your problem doesn't really sound like the motor. I think the two metal arms connected to the motor (which actually do the lifting) might have either gotten stuck or rusted together. If thats the case, you still have to take out the assembly but the reapir will be much less costly.
